History:
Hudson Valley Motorcycle opened its doors for
business in 1966, founded by Richard Alexander Sr., the shop
featured Kawasaki and Suzuki motorcycles. The original location was
in Ossining NY on North Highland Ave, just a short distance from our current location. In 1967 Hudson Valley
Motorcycle moved to North State Road in Briarcliff Manor where it
remained until 1970. Rich added Norton Motorcycles to the line up in
1967 followed two years later by BSA and Ossa motorcycles. From 1970 to 2006, Hudson Valley Motorcycle was located at 86 Millwood Rd (Rt.
133) in Millwood NY. The
current location is only 5 miles from Millwood, having returned to Ossining again! Still only 10 minutes north of White Plains, 35 minutes from New York City, and close
to Briarcliff, Peekskill, Chappaqua, Mt. Kisco, Millwood, Thornwood, and Pleasantville.
Hudson Valley Motorcycle has been continuously
owned and operated by Richard Alexander Sr. However, Rich is joined
by his two sons; Duane and Rich Jr.. Duane manages the sales
department of the dealership, which consists of Kawasaki and Suzuki
motorcycles, atv’s, and Kawasaki Mule utility vehicles. Rich Jr. is
responsible for managing both the service and parts departments
where all brands of motorcycles, atv’s, watercraft and utility
vehicles are cared for. Rich Jr was the 1998 AMA 750 SuperSport champion, and currently is in his third year of managing the Jordan Suzuki AMA SuperBike and SuperStock race team.
